Meredith Brown, R.N., Aesthetic Nurse Consultant

Meredith Brown combines specialized training in clinical skin care with more than 20 years of nursing experience. A Louisiana native, she earned her nursing degree cum laude in 1978 at Baylor University. She began her career in Houston, where she worked in surgery as a staff nurse, as a unit teacher in general surgery, and as head nurse of six operating rooms housing a variety of specialties. Meredith moved to Austin in 1980, where she worked at Brackenridge Hospital. During her 17 years at Brackenridge, she worked as a staff nurse, neurosurgery specialty nurse, charge nurse, and head nurse. Meredith also worked at Texas Oculoplastic Consultants as a surgical nurse in CAREOS, TOC’s on-site ambulatory surgical center. While at CAREOS, Meredith gained extensive experience in cosmetic treatments of the eyes and face. She now applies that experience to her role as aesthetic nurse consultant at Toccare. Meredith has supplemented her career with continuing education and certification courses. She has also been published in her field and has volunteered her time for several healthcare, religious, and educational organizations. Meredith is a mother of three. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children, music, reading, athletic activities, and cooking.
